Hello again,

I have been slow on the blog posts because I wanted everyone to keep being reminded of the scholarships we had available for the workshop. Thanks to all of those who applied!

The workshop is looking good, and I think we will have a wonderfully fun time!  The Schedule can be viewed here  2010Schedule Exact sessions may be subject to change, but the overall timing of the day will remain constant.  There are some special sessions not listed, and there is always the possibility for impromptu happenings!

15 Full Tuition Workshop Scholarships! June 24-26

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

We have 15 Full Tuition Scholarships for our 2010 Bass Coalition Summer Workshop! (June 24-26, 2010)

Full tuition scholarships are available to participate in chamber music, ensembles, clinics, masterclasses, concerts and more with Former ISB President David Murray, Donovan Stokes, Inez Wyrick and Jazz Great Rufus Reid.  While you are at it, might as well try out for the solo competition! Three prizes, first prize is $1000.

To apply for the Workshop Tuition Scholarship, what you want to do is three things:

1. Fill out and send in the Workshop Registration Form.  You can find it at basscoalition.com or you download/print it here: 2010WorkshopApplication

2. Write at the top of your Registration Form, and also where it asks for payment information, in large print: “Scholarship Applicant”

3. Mail it in sooner rather than later! Decisions are made on a rolling basis so early registration improves your chances.

If you receive a scholarship you will be notified by email, and asked to confirm your attendance. Scholarships cover the cost of tuition. (i.e., meals, lodging are not covered.)

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Otherwise, we look forward to getting your application!
